So Unusual

This is for 365 Cards' Day 185 - So Unusual challenge. It was indeed a challenge. I got to practice using the MM Slice machine as well as my exacto knife. And I finished all the challenges for the week (albeit a bit late), that was another challenge I wanted to take on.

Patterned paper and yellow cardstock from AAS (another old old kit), cream cardstock from Veco, green ribbon from Carolina's, sentiment cut out from a DCWV glitter stack paper.

Blue birthday cake

Here's a little birthday card. I realized that I don't have much graphic stamps, but I'm not sure if I want to make the investment. Will be adding a little more tonight, it looks like it's missing something, I think in the upper right portion of the cake panel. Should I add bling or should it be a flourish stamp? Your suggestions would be most welcome.

Patterned papers are all scraps. The embossed blue background and the damask print are from old wrapping papers (yay for Hallmark!). The cake stamp is from Papermania. Steel flower clips from AAS. Blue ribbon from Carolina's.

This is an entry for 365 Cards' Day 187 - Past, Present and Future challenge. The past refers to the flower clips, which used to be one of my favorite embellishments but which I haven't used in a while. Present refers to my current favorite color (ever my favorite color), blue. And Future refers to my coming birthday! :)

Flowery birthday

This is for 365 Cards'Day 186 - Pick-a-Pattern Challenge. I decided to make the curvy pattern the focal point of this simple card. The hubby likes this card the most among those I've done so far.

Blue patterned paper from an old old kit from AAS, foam flower from AAS, embellishments are punched from scrap paper using Carl Sakura punchers, ribbons from Carolina's, sentiment is cut out from DCWV Spring Glitter Stack.

ETA: I sent this card to Mrs. P for her birthday.

Buttons and bows for Christmas

A Christmas card to be used for 365 Cards' Day 182 - Buttons and Bows Challenge. It was a bit of a challenge because I had to go out and get a green button--didn't have any!

Red ribbon from Divisoria, green ribbon was recycled from an old gift, patterned papers from Craft Express, cream cardstock from Veco, red buttons from AAS, green button from Carolina's.

For one of my dearest friends. The sentiment refers to her admirable inner beauty, her sheer gorgeousness, and to her beauty spa business.

Flowers, patterned paper, butterfly and button are all from All About Scrapbooking. Cardstock from Veco, gold ribbon from National Bookstore crafts section.

Cruz Family Home-warming

I wasn't inclined to make anything for 365 Cards' Day 183 - Imagine This: Wrinkled Challenge. But I found this old paper--some may remember it from the heyday of Tickles when we were younger--when we were cleaning over the weekend, so I decided to use it for this card for the Cruzes' housewarming gift.

Sentiment detail:

The hubby likes this because it is a bit masculine, or so he says. Even if there is a flower with a pearl and gems. Heeehee. Cream cardstock from Veco, black cardstock from Prestige Paper Products, wrinkled paper from Tickles circa 1992 (?), flowers and pearl brad from AAS, and gems from Mark Richards.

For Stella's birthday

Tried to do a little clean-and-simple on this card. I just wanted to use this leftover cute patterned paper. This is for my niece's birthday.

I found the trim on sale from AAS at P10 for a meter (!). Cream cardstock from Veco, pink cardstock and pink heart embellisment from AAS, little girl PP from an old Craft Express stash, and the pink rhinestone is from the crafts section of National Bookstore.
